6 Days Colorful Rajasthan Tour Package

Welcome to Jaipur! After arrival, a representative will be waiting for you at the airport to transfer you to the hotel. From there, our day begins with a half-day of sightseeing into the rich, colorful history of the “Pink City!”

This morning, venture into the old city, passing by one of Jaipur’s most well known landmarks – the Hawa Mahal – a pink honeycombed building sure to impress even the most critical color fiend. From there, step back in time at City Palace, a stately complex comprised of ancient Rajasthani and Mughlai architecture. At night we will visit Jantar Mantar, India’s most notable observatory, before leaving you on your own for a delicious Rajasthani dinner in the city.

After breakfast we will head west into Jaipur – otherwise known as the “Blue City” – just a short, pleasant ride away from Jodhpur. After check-in, wander over to Umaid Bhawan, arguably one of the most romantic palaces in India, with 374 rooms set amongst 26 acres of lush gardens. In the afternoon, we will hike to the top of Mehrangarh Fort for a breathtaking view of the city beneath. Capture the contrast of the indigo buildings set amongst the dusky pink sky before heading to Jaswant Thada at sunset –the perfect time to catch the setting sun’s glow shining through the intricately carved marble sheets of this mausoleum!

After an early breakfast at the hotel, we will make our way to the Sam Sand Dunes for hotel check in. A Jeep safari will be waiting to take you on an adventure through the desert. As you speed between huge, silky folds of golden sand, be on the lookout for a lone camel making his way across the desert plains. Capture this and many more pictures, and at sunset, bring out your camera once more to remember the legendary sunset of the Great Thar Desert.

At night, head back to the hotel for a traditional Rajasthani dance show – a swish of silks and bursts of fire – followed by a delicious gala dinner.

After an early start this morning, embark on a lazy camel ride through the desert. It’s best to go early, before the sun rises and the crowd permeates.

Afterwards, stop by the hotel for a lat breakfast and brief rest before heading to Jaisalmer. Here, see the true treasure of the city – Jaisalmer Fort – which was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2013. This absolutely breathtaking sight was built in the 12th century and remains standing today as a massive desert citadel for villagers and tourists alike. Hidden inside the fort’s yellow sandy walls are plentiful palaces, Hindu temples, bustling bazaars, and over 500 families, making it one of the world’s rarest living forts.

At night, visit Salim Singh Haveli, to get a glimpse of a building designed after our most colorful friend, the peacock! But don’t let the lackluster exterior fool you – the inside is teeming with magnificent pops of color!

After breakfast we will drive back to Jaipur to discover the incredible shopping this city has to offer – jewels, tapestries, and Rajasthani arts and crafts, all at your fingertips! Jaipur boasts an endless array of bazaars, teeming with goods and various foodstuffs, and as you walk down the narrow lanes of these random side streets you will be captivated by all the colors, smells, and sensations surrounding these vibrant markets. Here, you will have absolutely no problem finding souvenirs for every person in your life!

After a busy day of shopping, head back to the hotel for a good rest and overnight stay.
