Welcome to Incredible India! Upon arrival, our representative will be there to receive you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel. After check-in, our tour begins into the expansive city of New Delhi. Visit the memorial of the fallen soldiers of The First World War at the India Gate; take a picture at Humayan’s Tomb, the first garden-tomb on the Indian subcontinent; and explore the archaeological ruins of Qutab Minar. After a long day of exploring, it’s time to step back and get in touch with nature amongst the sprawling emerald grasses of the Lodi Gardens.
A full day of sightseeing ensues into the vibrant past of Old Delhi! After passing through the barricades of this ancient city, observe the massive walls of brick-colored sandstone at Red Fort. For lunch, we’ll meander through Chandi Chowk, one of the oldest and busiest markets in all of India, and home to every type of Indian cuisine and street food you can imagine. To end the day, celebrate the life of Gandhi at Raj Ghat and soak in the temple of Laxminarayan before heading back to the hotel.
After breakfast, we will journey into the next city – Agra – stopping along the way to visit Sikandra tomb, the last resting place of late Mughal emperor, Akbar. Upon arrival, our guided tour of the city begins with Agra Fort, one of the finest Mughal forts in India. Unearth the secrets of the unique history surrounding the richly decorated buildings, mosques, and palaces of the ancient Mughal Empire. The Diwan-i-Am, Diwan-i-Khas, and Khas Mahal all hold secrets to this ancient family past! This evening, consider a stroll around this fascinating ancient city before a relaxing dinner at your own leisure.
After breakfast at the hotel, tour India’s most famed and iconic structure – the Taj Mahal – as you learn about the unrequited love between Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan and his third wife, Mumtaz Mahal. This immense white marble structure, and wonder of the world, took over 20 years to build! Be sure to get your most Insta-worthy picture, because this beauty won’t need a filter. In the afternoon, you are free to tour the city at your leisure. Grab a bite of local Indian cuisine, and fill your belly with pani puri, egg masala, and vada pav – but don’t forget about the delicious sweets!
After breakfast at the hotel, we will make our way to the fascinating city of Jaipur. En route we will stop at Fatehpur Sikri, which once served as the capital city of the Mughal Empire. After check-in at the hotel in Jaipur, we will journey into the colorful yet chaotic markets of the city, lined with various stalls selling spices, ethnic handicrafts, and semi-precious stones. Snack on chaat, barter with shop owners, and embrace the wondrous energy of this lively city!
Enjoy a light breakfast at the hotel before we make our way into the popularly named, “Pink City,” after the colorfully painted stones of the city’s facades. Gaze upwards as we reach the Hawa Mahal, yet another pinkish facade that doubled as a screen for the ladies of the royal household to watch festivals and general processions. Check out the world’s largest sundial at UNESCO Jantar Mantar, take a walk through the massive 33-acre expanse of the Ram Niwas garden, and end the day admiring the rich history of Jaipur at City Palace!
Breakfast at the hotel, followed by transfer and drop off at international airport.
